Luer Connection Development with Nurses
This project involved recruiting specialist nurses to attend multiple group sessions at our clients premises to assist in the development of a new range of Luer Connections.
Challenge: Our client, a human-centered design consultancy, was commissioned to undertake development of a new range of Luer Connections. They had numerous prototypes that they wished to explore with nurses.
Process: The clients design engineers and insight team were looking to conduct research with nurses who interact daily with Luer Connections in a high pressure environment for example ICU, A&E, Post Op or special care baby unit. Based on their objectives we proposed focus groups and the research was conducted at the client’s offices.
Outcome: The research process was iterative and over the course of 4 weeks we recruited 4 x 2 hour focus groups of 6 nurses per group to attend the client’s offices. The client required a mix of fresh and repeat respondents for each subsequent group.
Feedback: The project ran extremely smoothly and the client was very pleased with both the experience level and willingness to participate of the nurses recruited.
